FALLS CHURCH, Va. – Tax Analysts, the leading independent publisher of tax news, analysis, and commentary, today announced that Laura Breech will serve as the new editor of State Tax Notes – Tax Analysts’ weekly magazine dedicated to tax news and analysis for all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and every U.S. territory.
Breech joined Tax Analysts in 2007 as a legal editor for Tax Notes Today and moved to Tax Notes as deputy editor in 2011. As second in command, she has managed every aspect of the magazine, including the Year in Review articles. Breech has also authored a weekly courts update column, worked with columnists and contributors on news stories, and performed author outreach to secure content.
“Laura is not only a skilled editor and tax lawyer, she has such enthusiasm for what she does,” said Cara Griffith, editor in chief of Tax Analysts’ state publications. “Her appointment will offer a fresh perspective to an already great magazine.”
Breech has an LLM from the University of Nottingham, England, and a JD and a BA from the University of Texas at Austin.
