The new column will monitor tax lobbyist movements and appears for the first time in today’s issue of Tax Notes Today, the daily online publication on federal tax policy and administration. It will also appear in Tax Notes, the weekly publication on the same topics.
The inaugural column takes a look at lobbyists' agenda this fall to push for a broader carryback loss tax provision. "The NOL issue cuts a wide swath through industries ready and able to tap their lobbying resources. According to Opensecrets.com, more than 50 entities have listed the Senate bill on their lobbying disclosure forms," writes Tax Analysts reporter Meg Shreve.
