New Tax Analysts Column, The SALT Effect, Highlights State and Local Tax Challenges for Tax Community

FALLS CHURCH, Va. – Tax Analysts, the nonprofit provider of federal, state, and international tax news and analysis, has launched a column highlighting the effects state and local taxes have on the tax community.

The column, The SALT Effect, is written by Brian Strahle. It will appear in State Tax Notes and State Tax Today and will discuss how state tax challenges affect taxpayers, government, and the tax practitioner community.

“The lack of uniformity across U.S. taxing jurisdictions leaves taxpayers and practitioners in a state of uncertainty,” said Laura Breech, editor of State Tax Notes. “Strahle seeks to provide knowledge, judgment, and advocacy for his readers, who have to navigate complex state and local tax issues.”

Strahle is the owner and managing member of LEVERAGE SALT LLC, which provides state and local tax research, writing, and help-desk services to accounting firms and other organizations. He is also the author of the state tax blog LEVERAGE SALT.

A full copy of Strahle’s latest column is available here.
