Lee Sheppard named one of International Tax Review's Global Tax 50
FALLS CHURCH, Va. – Lee Sheppard, contributing editor of Tax Analysts' Tax Notes and one of the nation's most widely read and respected tax commentators, was named one of the Global Tax 50 most influential players in international taxation in 2015 by International Tax Review.

Sheppard specializes in financial issues and the taxation of multinational corporations. Her articles have included commentary on treaty issues, transfer pricing, European tax developments, and cutting-edge financial issues, such as derivatives, hybrid securities, and hedge funds. Her writings are a must-read for tax practitioners all around the world.
What makes Sheppard especially unique is her ability to seamlessly weave complex tax analyses with cultural commentary. According to the New York Times, “In the breadth of one paragraph, she can write authoritatively about accounting for uncertainty in income taxes and the latest Marc Jacobs handbag with Art Deco-style jewel-encrusted clasps.”
International Tax Review’s Global Tax 50, now in its fifth year, provides a rundown of the who’s who of the tax world. The honored individuals have had a significant impact or influence on taxation that will continue to be felt in years to come. Sheppard was also named a Global Tax 50 in 2012.
